Celebrity Launches Double Points Offer for Its Loyalty Program
Celebrity Cruises is giving loyal cruisers a chance to move up the Captain’s Club ladder faster with a new double-points promotion.
Captain’s Club members who book select cruises between September 8 and September 21, 2026, can earn double Club Points on eligible sailings. The offer covers Caribbean cruises through spring 2027, along with select sailings on Celebrity Infinity.
For cruisers who are close to reaching the next Captain’s Club tier, or who typically book higher-category cabins, the promotion could add up quickly.
Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club Loyalty Program
Celebrity’s loyalty program, the Captain’s Club, rewards cruisers with points based on the type of cabin they book and the number of nights they sail.
| Stateroom Category | Regular Points Per Night | Double Points Offer |
|---|---|---|
| Inside or Ocean View | 2 | 4 |
| Veranda or Infinite Veranda | 3 | 6 |
| Concierge Class or AquaClass | 5 | 10 |
| Sky Suite and select suites | 8 | 16 |
| Celebrity, Signature, Horizon, and Royal Suites | 12 | 24 |
| Edge Villa, Penthouse, and Reflection Suites | 18 | 36 |
| Iconic Suite | 24 | 48 |
Those points help guests move through Celebrity’s Captain’s Club tiers, which start with Classic and progress through Select, Elite, Elite Plus, and Zenith.
The program has become even more useful thanks to Royal Caribbean Group’s Loyalty Status Match program. Captain’s Club members can receive corresponding status with sister brands Royal Caribbean and Silversea.
Celebrity also participates in Points Choice, which lets guests sailing on one Royal Caribbean Group brand choose to apply the points earned from that cruise toward another participating loyalty program.
One important exception applies, though. Bonus points earned through this double points offer cannot be transferred using Points Choice.
Earn Double Captain’s Club Points Through September 21
If you want to take advantage of this double points offer, you’ll have to book an eligible cruise between September 8 and September 21, 2026.
To qualify, the cruise must be:
- A Caribbean sailing departing between October 1, 2026, and April 30, 2027
- A Celebrity Infinity sailing departing between November 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027
You can use this promotion on up to two cruises. If you book more than two qualifying cruises, Celebrity will apply the double points to the two cruises with the earliest departure dates.
Solo Cruisers Get an Even Better Deal
The promotion gets even more interesting for solo cruisers. Guests traveling alone and paying the full cabin fare normally receive an additional set of Club Points. Under this promotion, that bonus is added to the double points offer, meaning qualifying solo cruisers can earn 3x the normal Club Points.
For example, a solo guest staying in a Veranda stateroom would normally earn 3 points per night. With the promotion and the solo bonus, that increases to 9 points per night.
On a 7-night cruise, that would mean earning 63 Club Points instead of the standard 21.
Double Points Important Terms and Conditions
There are a few important restrictions to keep in mind:
- The cruise must be newly booked between September 8 and September 21, 2026.
- The offer can be used on a maximum of two qualifying cruises per Captain’s Club member.
- A valid Captain’s Club number must be attached to the reservation.
- Bonus points will be added within 30 days after the cruise is completed, as long as the booking has been paid in full.
- Points are based on the original stateroom category purchased.
- Upgrades, including MoveUp upgrades, do not receive additional points based on the upgraded cabin category.
- Solo travelers paying the full fare can earn a total of 3x Club Points.
- Transatlantic and Transpacific sailings are excluded.
- Bonus points earned through the promotion cannot be transferred to Royal Caribbean or Silversea through Points Choice.
- Submitting a Points Choice transfer request will forfeit the promotional bonus points.
The double points promotion can also be combined with many of Celebrity’s normal sales and discounts, including BOGO75, free third and fourth guest offers, Instant Savings, onboard credit sales, Captain’s Club discounts, shareholder benefits, and qualifying future cruise certificate bookings.
My Take: A Nice Bonus If You Were Already Planning a Celebrity Cruise
Like Royal Caribbean’s double points promotion earlier this summer, I wouldn’t book a cruise solely to chase loyalty points. But if you were already considering a Caribbean cruise with Celebrity this winter, this promotion could make the decision a little easier.
It is particularly valuable if you’re close to reaching the next Captain’s Club tier. Because Celebrity awards more points for higher cabin categories, someone staying in AquaClass or The Retreat can rack up a significant number of extra points during a single cruise.
Solo cruisers get an especially good deal with 3x points.
It is also interesting to see Celebrity launch this promotion less than two months after Royal Caribbean offered a similar double points deal. Royal Caribbean’s offer covered bookings made for just 11 days in July, while Celebrity is giving guests two weeks to book.
Whether these promotions are simply a new way for Royal Caribbean Group to encourage loyalty or an indication that the company wants to stimulate bookings during certain periods remains to be seen.
Either way, if you already have your eye on an eligible Celebrity cruise and Captain’s Club status matters to you, this is a promotion worth considering.
