Due to Incredible Demand, Virgin Voyages Adds a Second Ship for Summer Season Pass
Last week, Virgin Voyages released a special “Summer Season Pass” that let guests book a month-long stay on the Scarlet Lady. It was pitched as a way to work from sea during the summer, and it included things like premium internet and laundry. Virgin Voyages said they experienced incredible demand for this pass, getting more than 2,000 inquiries and selling out in less than 48 hours. Now, they’ve extended this program to a second ship, Resilient Lady, which will sail out of Athens.
Resilient Lady Summer Season Pass Dates
The Resilient Lady will homeport in Athens for the summer and offer three new passes for those looking to spend the summer working from the Mediterranean.
- Option 1: June 2 – June 30
- Option 2: June 30 – July 28
- Option 3: July 7 – Aug 4
These sailings will visit the majestic Greek islands, stopping in ports like Santorini, Mykonos, and Rhodes. Like the Scarlet Lady Summer Season Pass, these sailings are effectively back-to-back-to-back cruises, with other sailors coming and going each week.
Resilient Lady’s Summer Season Pass sailings combine their Greek Island Glow and Adriatic Sea & Greek Gems itineraries. One highlight of the Greek Island Glow itinerary is that the ship stays overnight in Mykonos, allowing guests to enjoy the magnificent nightlife on this lively Greek island.
Special perks of Resilient Summer Season Pass
The Summer Season Pass on the Resilient Lady will have the same perks that were offered on Scarlet Lady. It starts off with some welcome champagne to kick off your month at sea. The rest of the benefits help make working remotely and living on a ship for a month easier.
While Virgin Voyages includes internet for every guest, those with a Season Pass will receive free premium Wi-Fi to make working from the ship possible. That’s usually an extra $10 – $15 per day.
Need some caffeine to get through the morning emails? Season pass holders get $10 a day towards premium coffees.
Season pass holders will also enjoy access to Richard’s Rooftop, an exclusive area typically reserved for suites and Rock Star accommodations, which cost much more than standard balcony cabins. They’ll also get concierge support for all the booking needs and early access to book dinner and excursions.
Summer Season Passes are limited
These passes are limited and, as we’ve seen with Scarlet Lady, are likely to sell out. Rates start at $9,990 for up to two sailors. Virgin Voyages says that represents a savings of 30% in value.
For that cost, you will get four weeks at sea in a Central Sea Terrace (balcony) cabin. It’s important to remember that Virgin Voyages includes daily gratuities, basic beverages (soda and juices), and almost all dining venues on the ship in these base cruise fares.
