Full Entertainment Lineup Revealed for Star of the Seas
We’re just four months out from the debut of Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Star of the Seas. As the follow-up to the highly successful Icon of the Seas, this ship has huge shoes to fill. Today, Royal Caribbean released more information about all the shows and entertainment onboard.

Broadway Show: Back to the Future

As previously announced, the Broadway show for Star of the Seas will be Back to the Future. The musical follows Marty McFly’s adventures through time in a nod to the cult-classic movie. Like a typical Royal Caribbean production, expect amazing sets, over-the-top special effects, and a talented cast of performers.
Royal Theater Show: Create

Besides the Broadway show, Back to the Future, Star of the Seas will feature a second production show in the Royal Theater called Create. The show will “spark your creative spirit.” In it, KRĒ-8, a curious robot on a creative mission, goes on a soulful journey through music, dance, art, and emotion.
AquaTheater Show: Torque

Royal Caribbean describes Torque as “an adrenaline-pumping aqua show aboard Star of the Seas, packed with jaw-dropping stunts, synchronized swimmers, dancers, and slackliners. Experience cutting-edge tech and immersive visuals in this high-energy spectacle at the AquaTheater.”
AquaTheater Show: Pirates & Mermaids

Star of the Seas will also have a second AquaTheater show. Originally scheduled to debut on Icon of the Seas, the pirate-themed production features high dives and mermaids. The family-oriented show is sure to wow guests of all ages.
Ice Show: Sol

Billed as “the hottest show on ice,” Sol takes place in the Absolute Zero ice rink aboard Star of the Seas. The show makes use of impressive projection technology and the fleet’s largest cast of Olympic-level ice skaters. According to Royal Caribbean, Sol “follows the sun’s path from sunrise to sunset in this immersive, high-energy celebration on ice.”
Royal Promenade Parade: Ocean Odyssey

It wouldn’t be a Royal Caribbean cruise without a parade down the Royal Promenade. On Star of the Seas it will be Ocean Odyssey. The immersive parade will feature energetic music, glowing floats, and high-energy dance moves. It follows King Atlantis as it brings the ocean’s mysteries to life.
Other Entertainment Options

Those are just the production shows coming to the ship. In addition, there will be live music all over Star of the Seas. Enjoy live jazz at Lou’s Jazz and Blues, sing along at the Dueling Piano Bar, opt for a more subdued piano night at Schooner Bar, or catch an acoustic guitar performance at the Thorn & Thistle pub.
Star of the Seas Debuts in August
Star of the Seas will debut at the end of August. The launch has already been moved up twice because the ship was ahead of schedule—hopefully the entertainment is running ahead too. We’ll let you know soon, as we’ll be sailing on one of the “Showcase” cruises before the official inaugural sailing.
