More Details About Nassau’s Royal Beach Club Paradise Island

Last Updated on December 17, 2024

Nassau, Bahamas, is one of the top 10 cruise ports in the world, welcoming millions of guests each year. Yet, for many cruisers, the destination has lost its appeal, with some finding it lacking in activities or unique experiences. Royal Caribbean aims to change that perception with Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, offering guests an exclusive new way to enjoy Nassau.

Opening in December 2025, this all-new destination is the first in Royal Caribbean’s Royal Beach Club Collection. Combining pristine beaches, immersive pools, and vibrant Bahamian culture, the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island offers an all-inclusive escape just a short water taxi ride from Nassau. It’s designed to provide guests with a premium, tailored beach day that’s unlike anything currently available at the port.

Where is Royal Beach Club Paradise Island?

The Royal Beach Club sits on a 17-acre plot of land on Paradise Island. It’s just a short water taxi ride from the cruise pier. In fact, if you’ve ever visited Nassau on a ship before, you’ve likely seen the strip of land where it’ll be located as it’s right next to the cruise ships.

What to Expect at the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island

The Royal Beach Club Paradise Island offers an all-inclusive experience. A day pass includes access to a variety of amenities, including the water taxi to and from the island, meals, drinks, and activities. Guests can look forward to pristine pools, white-sand beaches, local delicacies, and the largest swim-up bar in the world. The resort will have 3 beach grills, 7 beach bars, 3 swim-up bars, 2 beaches, and 3 pools.

Royal Beach Club has something for everyone and is split into three zones:

Family Beach

This zone has access to the beautiful beach, beach games, and comfy seating. Right next to the beach is “The Shallow End,” a zero-entry pool great for little ones.

Chill Beach

Relax in style in the Chill Beach zone. The area features “The Deep End” pool and a white sand beach. Nearby, guests will find local artisan huts and authentic island food like grilled shrimp skewers to fire engine fritters.

Party Cove

If you’re looking for a Caribbean Party vibe, this is the area for you. The space will have The Floating Flamingo, the world’s largest swim-up bar, and DJ-spinning music throughout the day.

Royal Beach Club will also have over 40 cabanas available to rent as well, including The “Ultimate Family Cabana,” a two-story retreat with a slide, dedicated whirlpool, and even a frozen drink machine.

How Does Royal Beach Club Compare to Perfect Day at CocoCay?

While Perfect Day at CocoCay has been a staple for Royal Caribbean guests with its massive water park, expansive pools, and complimentary access for all cruisers, the Royal Beach Club offers a more boutique, exclusive experience. Unlike CocoCay, which is open to everyone onboard, the Royal Beach Club is a paid add-on, functioning more like a private beach club excursion.

Where CocoCay emphasizes thrills with features like the water slides at Thrill Waterpark or the complimentary wave pool, the Royal Beach Club leans into tranquility and luxury, creating an intimate vibe. For those who love CocoCay but crave a more elevated, secluded day ashore, the Royal Beach Club offers the perfect alternative.

Supporting Local Bahamian Communities

Developed in partnership with the Bahamian government, the Royal Beach Club is more than just a vacation destination. It represents a significant public-private partnership, creating hundreds of jobs for Bahamian workers and entrepreneurs. From the live music to the artisan huts, Bahamian culture is deeply integrated into every aspect of the Royal Beach Club.

What Will Royal Beach Club Cost?

Royal Caribbean has not yet released pricing for the Royal Beach Club, but their Twitter account said, “Pricing for Royal Beach Club will be in line with other beach day passes in Nassau.”

Like nearly all Royal Caribbean excursions and purchases, they will likely use dynamic pricing, meaning the price can vary from sailing to sailing and when you purchase it.

Guests will be able to see the pricing and purchase beach passes starting in Spring 2025. Guests visiting Nassau on a Celebrity Cruise Line ship will also be able to book this exclusive experience.
