MSC World Atlantic Sailings Out of Port Canaveral Now Open

MSC has been on a shipbuilding tear recently, adding megaship after megaship to their fleet in an aggressive build-out schedule. Their 3rd and 4th World Class ships are currently under construction. The MSC World Asia is set to debut in December 2026 and sail the Mediterranean. And now another World Class ship will come to the US, the MSC World Atlantic, which will sail out of Port Canaveral starting November 2027.

Returning Favorites to MSC World Atlantic

MSC World Atlantic will be mostly similar to its predecessors and will be the 3rd largest class of ship in the world. It features a split-hull design with interior-facing cabins and promenades that is quite similar in structure to Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class, but has a completely different look. It is split into seven distinct districts, which helps reduce crowding and provide unique experiences across the ship.

30 Food and Beverage Options

MSC World Atlantic will have 30 food and drink options, or “gastronomic experiences” as the cruise line calls them, for guests to enjoy. Like its sister ships, it will have two full buffets, a beautiful main dining room, the casual Pizza & Burger restaurant, and six specialty dining concepts. We know Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, Kaito Sushi and Teppanyaki, and Hola! Tacos & Cantina will return, and new restaurants will be coming, which we will find out about in the future. The All-Star Sports Bar will also return, a favorite among many American guests and something missing from MSC’s older classes of ships.

The Harbour

The Harbour is the outdoor adventure area onboard World Class ships. Here, you will find a water park, splash zones, and a ropes course (all complimentary). The Cliffhanger attraction will also return to World Atlantic, hanging guests 160 feet over the ocean.

Doremiland Kids Club

World Atlantic will have one of MSC’s largest kids clubs ever, with two new LEGO spaces.

Panorama Lounge

This beautiful lounge and performance space will also make a reappearance onboard World Atlantic. With sweeping panoramic views off the ship’s aft, guests can enjoy live entertainment, dancing, and cocktails at this sizeable venue.

New for MSC World Atlantic

Viva La Musica

This new venue will focus on Latin culture with hand-crafted cocktails, live music, dancing, and a nightclub. It replaces The Loft – Comedy and Live Music space on Deck 8 of World America.

The Clubhouse

This area is new to the US but is actually debuting on the MSC World Asia. It is a retro-inspired space with fun family activities like classic table games, bumper cars, basketball, roller skating, and the LEGO Family Zone. It is a rebrand of the Sportplex space on Deck 20 of World Atlantic.

MSC World Atlantic Itineraries Are Now Open

World Atlantic will offer two different itineraries of 7-day cruises out of Port Canaveral (Orlando) starting November 13, 2027.

  • The Eastern Caribbean sailings will visit Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Nassau; and Ocean Cay.
  • The Western Caribbean sailings will stop at Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Nassau; and Ocean Cay.

This ship will also offer several 14-day sailings, which are essentially back-to-back cruises combining the two itineraries.

MSC Voyagers Club members, their loyalty program, who book by Dec. 24, 2025, will receive 1,000 extra points, plus members at Classic level and above get a free onboard credit of $50.

You can visit MSC’s website to see the pricing of the new sailings. I did a mock booking for March 14, 2028, and for a family of four in an Ocean View Balcony, the cost would be $6,091. In comparison, Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Legend of the Seas, will sail a 6-night cruise the same week for $6,984. World Atlantic’s price is 12% cheaper and includes an extra night. Still, we have seen much larger differences in the past, showing that MSC is seeing the value and raising the prices of their newest ships.

More to Come

We are still almost two years out from the ship’s debut, so more information will come as progress continues. We will find out the new restaurants onboard, which shows will be in the main theater, and more about what sets World Atlantic apart from World America, which will continue to sail out of Miami.
