Princess Cruises Raises Prices on Plus and Premier Packages
Princess Cruises has announced it will be increasing the cost of its add-on packages available for its cruises. These packages, called Plus and Premier, allow guests to upgrade their cruise fare to a more “inclusive” offering, adding on things like drink packages, specialty dining, gratuities, and Wi-Fi.

Updated Princess Plus and Premier Packages
In a time where cutbacks seem commonplace, the changes to the packages are pretty minimal, thankfully. They removed benefits that were pretty minimal to most guests and instead offered new benefits that will apply to most guests.
“By thoughtfully evolving our packages, we’re ensuring they reflect what our guests truly desire, more flexibility, enhanced culinary experiences and opportunities to explore ashore, all the while retaining the exceptional benefits they’ve come to expect,” said Alfredo Jimenez, Princess’ vice president of onboard revenue.

Plus Package
- The Plus Beverage package*
- Single-device Wi-Fi
- Fees waived for OceanNow and room service delivery
- Daily gratuities (typically $16 – $18 per person, per day)
- INCREASED – Four casual dining meals (up from 2)
- REMOVED – Premium desserts (2 per day)
Sphere Class: $70 per person per day
Rest of the Fleet: $65 per person per day (8% increase)
One thing Princess conveniently left off the press release is that they are adding new limits to the Plus Beverage Package. According to an FAQ sent to travel agents, guests are now limited to 15 beverages a day INCLUDING sodas, juices, and premium coffees. Guests are also limited to 12 bottles of water per day. This makes it one of the most restrictive drink packages out of all the North American cruise lines.

Premier Package
- Unlimited premier beverage package
- Unlimited casual and specialty dining
- Four-device Wi-Fi
- Fees waived for OceanNow and room service delivery
- Unlimited digital professional photos
- Reserved seating for theatrical shows
- Daily gratuities (typically $16 – $18 per person, per day)
- NEW – Shore Excursion Credit ($100 6-9 days, $200 10-20 days, $300 for 21+ days)
- REMOVED – Premium desserts
- REMOVED – Juice bar access
- REMOVED – Medallion shipping
- REMOVED – Fitness classes
- REMOVED – Princess prizes
Sphere Class: $105 per person per day
Rest of the Fleet: $100 per person per day (11% increase)
Another Price Increase
This 8% increase is the first time the Plus Package has increased since it debuted in 2023.
It is the second time the Premier Package has increased. It’s an 11% increase from the $90 price that debuted last August, and a 25% increase since the package first launched. That being said, the package has increased in value by adding unlimited specialty dining and eliminating the 15 alcoholic drink daily limit.
2023 | 2024 | 2025 | |
---|---|---|---|
Plus | $60 | $60 | $65 (8% increase) |
Premier | $80 | $90 | $100 (11% increase) |
It’s also notable that they’re charging higher rates for the newest ships in the fleet, which already command a premium to sale on.
New Prices Go Into Effect July 22
The new Plus and Premier packages will apply to packages purchased on or after July 22, 2025, for voyages sailing in 2026.
