Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, & Silversea Will Introduce “Points Choice” for Loyalty Programs
Royal Caribbean Group is continuing to strengthen the connections between its three cruise lines with a new loyalty enhancement called “Points Choice.” The feature will give guests the flexibility to decide where they want to apply the points they earn when sailing with any of the company’s brands.
Expanding on the Recent Status Match
Earlier this year, Royal Caribbean Group rolled out “Status Match,” allowing members of Crown & Anchor Society, Captain’s Club, and Venetian Society to enjoy equivalent loyalty tiers across all three lines. Now, the company is taking the next step with “Points Choice,” which will let guests earn points on one brand and apply them to the loyalty program of another.
For example, a longtime Royal Caribbean International cruiser can sail on Celebrity Cruises, receive matching Captain’s Club status, and then have the points from that voyage applied back toward their Crown & Anchor Society account. Similarly, Silversea guests can credit their luxury sailings to Royal Caribbean or Celebrity if they prefer to build status there.
How “Points Choice” Works
According to Royal Caribbean Group, Points Choice will launch in early 2026. Once live, travelers sailing with Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, or Silversea Cruises will be able to select which loyalty program receives their points from each sailing. The company says the system will offer “the freedom to grow your rewards your way on future sailings.”
However, there are a few caveats. The program will only apply to cruises taken after Points Choice officially launches and will not retroactively include past sailings. Royal Caribbean Group also noted that details such as exchange rates and full program rules will be shared closer to launch.
A More Unified Future for Royal Caribbean Group
This move continues Royal Caribbean Group’s trend toward unifying its brands and rewarding loyal cruisers across its portfolio. It provides more incentive for guests to try sister lines while maintaining progress in their preferred loyalty program.
For frequent cruisers who enjoy both Royal Caribbean’s lively ships, Celebrity’s elevated experience, and Silversea’s ultra-luxury voyages, Points Choice could be a game-changer in maximizing loyalty rewards.
