Secure the Best Deal with Princess Cruises’ “Better than Best Price Guarantee”

Everyone knows that sinking feeling when you buy something only to find out later you could have gotten it cheaper. Cruises can be especially problematic with their high costs and constant “sales” and promotions, leaving guests wondering if they’re really getting a good deal. Princess Cruises aims to eliminate that uncertainty with their “Better than Best Price Guarantee.”

Princess Cruises’ Guarantee is Better Than What’s Out There

While many cruise lines will adjust the price or provide onboard credit if you find a better deal before final payment, Princess Cruises takes it a step further. With this new guarantee, Princess Cruises ensures that if guests find a lower price for the same cruise, stateroom category, and sail date at any time before their final payment, Princess will honor the lower rate and provide 120% of the difference as an onboard credit. This bold move underscores Princess Cruises’ commitment to delivering unparalleled value and exceptional service.

From July 1 to September 2, 2024, guests can book their dream Princess vacation knowing they are securing the absolute best price available.

“Our new guarantee underscores the Princess commitment to offering unparalleled value and exceptional service to guests…value that is unmatched by land-based vacations.” – Terry Thornton, Princess Cruises’ chief commercial officer

How Princess’ Policy Works

To get the “Better Than Best Price Guarantee,” guests must book a cruise between July 1 and September 2, 2024, for any 2025 or 2026 departure. If they later find an active, publicly available lower price for the identical booking on princess.com, they can submit a Guarantee Claim Form. Princess will then give the guest an onboard credit (OBC) worth 120% of the difference between what was originally paid and the lower fare. For full terms and conditions, visit the Princess Cruises website here.

Tip: Several websites offer price trackers to notify you of changes automatically via email. We prefer CruisePlum.

High Demand Means You Have to Buy Early

Cruises are selling better than ever; the old days of waiting until the last minute to book a cheap cruise aren’t a thing anymore. According to Princess Cruises, bookings for 2025 are already 25% higher than at the same time last year. That means if you want to sail next year, you need to book early. With this new policy, guests can be assured that they’re not overpaying by booking too early.
