Virgin Voyages Launches Massive Status Match Program Covering 35+ Travel Brands
Virgin Voyages just announced one of the widest status match programs the cruise industry has ever seen. The status match is not just for cruisers; they will match elite status in more than 35 airline, hotel, and cruise loyalty programs.
This promotion comes at a time when certain other cruise lines are cutting back on their loyalty programs. The adults-only cruise line says the goal is simple. Many travelers feel underappreciated by their current loyalty programs, and Virgin Voyages believes it can offer something better.
Who Qualifies for the Status Match
Virgin Voyages will match elite status across a wide list of travel programs, including airlines, hotels, and other cruise lines. This round is significantly broader than a similar offer Virgin Voyages made in April 2024, which lasted only a couple of days and focused mainly on hotel and airline tiers.

My Take: An Easy Program To Get People to Try Virgin Voyages
This is one of the broadest status match offerings I have seen from any cruise line. The biggest selling point is the lack of hoops. If you have elite status with nearly any major airline, hotel chain, or cruise line, you can get immediate perks on your first Virgin Voyages sailing. For travelers curious about the brand but hesitant to switch, this takes away much of the friction.
If you are considering a Virgin Voyages trip for 2026 or 2027, this status match is an easy win.
For my first sailing on Virgin Voyages, I matched my status from Royal Caribbean’s Crown and Anchor Society and immediately received the benefits. It was super easy and, especially for coffee drinkers, quite a nice perk. The cocktail party was really nice too. It was at the top-most part of the ship, The Perch, with champagne and sangria flowing as live music played and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.
