All about Carnival's Cucina Del Capitano (Excel-ship)
If you're in the mood for a traditional Italian meal while at sea, this is the place for you. The red-and-white checkered tablecloths evoke a sense of a traditional, rustic Italian trattoria with a cozy vibe. You’ll find favorites like Nonna’s Meat Balls, Spaghetti Carbonara, and Chicken Parmesan. If you’ve sailed on other Carnival ships, you’ll notice the menu on Excel Class ships is different than the rest of the fleet (on the other ships, it’s always an extra-fee restaurant).
Cucina del Capitano is complimentary the first time you eat there and $8 per person after that.
You don't have to make reservations in advance. You check in using Carnival's HUB app when you're ready to eat and they alert you when your table is ready. For guests with anytime dining, they can check in anytime between 5:30 PM and 9:30PM, guests with Assigned Dining can't check in until after 7:45 PM.
